WJA Trade Show 2025 a ‘fantastic’ place to do business say exhibitors

Exhibitors have praised WJA Trade Show 2025 for providing unrivalled access to water jetting expertise and equipment – as well as plenty of opportunities to do business.

The second exhibition organised the Water Jetting Association, after last year’s inaugural event, was held at StoneX, North London, on Thursday 11th September.

“We had visitors looking to invest in new services and wanting to source new equipment, and exhibitors showing off new products. That’s a recipe for success.

“The event demonstrated the value of providing a meeting place for our industry. Thank you to all our exhibitors, many of them WJA members, and visitors for their support.”

Talking about technology

The WJA was particularly grateful to the trade show’s four sponsors – Veolia, TST Sweden, Howden Insurance and Drain Trader Magazine – for their commitment to the exhibition, said Leanne Smith.

Visitor numbers were significantly up on last year’s exhibition, which also had more exhibitors and had two external display areas so more large equipment could be shown off.

A speaker programme shared expertise on a range of topics, including robotic water jetting, health and safety, and insurance issues relating to the water jetting industry.

Rioned UK was showing off its RioCom compact jet vac tanker. Sales Director Mark Cox said: “We’ve seen more people in a day here than we could on a typical day of customer visits. People always want to talk about technology, and what’s new and exciting in the drainage world.”

‘A very good day for us’

Mark Robson, Sales Manager at Bucher Municipal, said: “We’ve met new customers at the show. It’s been an ideal opportunity to show drainage contractors they can take the next step to from a van pack to our CityFlex combination unit.”

Annette Hessel, International Sales Manager at event sponsor TST Sweden, said: “All our products come from feedback from users. So attending WJA Trade Show 2025 allows us to meet our customers and drive our innovation.”

James Coverdale, Head of Sales at iTouch Systems, which manufactures CCTV survey systems for the drainage and water utility industry, was among exhibitors impressed with event.

He said: “We were busy all day, with a lot of interested visitors stopping at our stand. We’ve got some strong leads as a result. It’s been a very good day for us.”

Exhibition sponsor Howden Insurance, which is a member of the WJA, took the opportunity to demonstrate its expertise in the water jetting industry.

Oliver Newport, a Development Executive at the global company, was one of the speakers, explaining commons pitfalls for water jetting businesses when taking our a policy to cover their business risks.

He said: “It’s been a fantastic event. For us, it’s all about keeping up to date with changes in the trade. That’s why being part of the WJA is very important. So when risk changes our policy can change and we can make sure we give customers the best cover.”

The place to meet news clients

Mark Stubbs, Director at Kelly’s Tanks, which manufactures concrete washout and water treatment systems, said: “WJA Trade Show 2025 has been exceptional for us.

“It’s given us access new customers and visibility in the water jetting marketplace. The WJA must be thanked for bringing the industry together in such a constructive way.”

Allun Cairns, Sales Executive at leading jetting van pack manufacturer Superjet, said: “We’ve had a lot of interest and enquiries from exhibiting at the trade show. It’s been a very good experience.”

Tony Brown, Area Sales Manager at hose assembly manufacturer Stauff UK, said: “We’re part of the Water Jetting Association, and the exhibition has been really good.

“We manufacture a piece of the puzzle, so we get to meet the end-user of the product we make, which is very useful. We’ve also got quite a few good leads.”

Latest innovations on show

Simon Burke, External Sales Executive at exhibitor GK&N Spares, said: It’s been good. There’s a lot of footfall. We’ve seen a lot of customers we’ve not seen before.”

Tom Birkett, Sales Executive at AQ-Rent, which exhibited at the show, was new to the water jetting industry so found it particularly useful to see the breadth of services and equipment across the jetting industry.

He said: “It’s a really good show, and the clientele who are here are very important people in the industry who have come to see the latest innovations, and this is a great place to see them.”
